It holds onto many glowing red pitchers at a time and is a vigorous grower. The species is closely related to Nepenthes spathulata which hails from Sumatra while adrianii resides (now in small numbers) on the heavily populated Java. Plants for sale are horticulturally bred by Carnivero. We crossed a seed grown adrianii from Exotica Plants with a Malesiana Tropicals
