East German Fur Hat Enlist Size:59 All these cases are stack-ableOriginal Army East German Fur Hat Enlist Genuine East German (German Democratic Republic) Army issue ushanka. These were worn by the troops to protect their head, ears, and chin from the cold. The faux fur (or fish fur) ear flaps can be buttoned under the chin or tied back, ski style. These remained as part of the winter German Police uniform after the reunification of Germany. The genuine East German insignia makes this a nice piece for a collector
