Cornelian Cherry 'Elegant™' (Cornus mas) Native Starter 2 Hardy down to Zone 6One of the best varieties we've tried, Elegant bears heavy crops of striking, red, long, pear shaped, tasty fruit. Lovely mature tree form as well. The fruit ripens in late August to early September, and then the leaves turn lovely shades of yellow and red. Semi self fertile, so plant two varieties for cross pollination and to ensure good crops. Extremely hardy to minus 30 F. Height: 8 10 ft Watering Needs: Moderate Sun Needs: Full to half day sun
