The carnelian agate stone dates from the 2nd or 3rd century (AD), mounted in a high carat gold Georgian signet ring mount, carved with an x rated scene featuring a couple "in the act" as it were, standing under a tree presumably man and wife, or maybe not? The choice of stone, a vibrant orange red carnelian, emphasises the strong erotic charge of the piece. Ring mount crafted
